    Zahrani: International partnerships to increase the  qualification of training to provide the labor market requirements

        Deputy of Governor of  Technical and professional Training institution Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed al Zahrani said that the gap between the national and expatriate workers is still big in the labor market, but the effort by the concerned authorities  is progressing positively to fill this gap.
    during a meeting organized recently by Asharqia Chamber entitled (training and its effect on economic growth), said Zahrani that  the General  institution for Technical and  professional training has developed a number of goals seeking to be achieved so the labor market can overcome the challenges facing it, the first of these goals is to increase the capacity of training programs to meet the increasing need in the labor market of the technical and professional  market specialties, and second, ensuring the quality of training by improving the performance of the existing technical colleges and the  industrial academies and the third is the creativity in electronic training programs with its various types.
    He stressed that the technical and professional training system in the Kingdom, aims at finding flexibility to be compatible with the labor market requirements, pointing to the number of necessary steps to achieve this goal, including the establishment of distinction colleges , which represents a new framework for partnership between the public and private sectors,
     and developing  the strategic partnerships with the business sector and  offering the training of international service providers and the establishment of specialized   training boards for each economical sector, obliged to the existing programs and improving them through updating the mechanisms to increase efficiency and improving the service, and developing the abilities of trainers, improving the training  methods, and the expansion of training programs ended  by employment.
    referring to the project of establishing the National Center for discipline and professional accreditation (Saudi skills standards ), he said that this project aims to develop national skill standards, and the application of institutional accreditation on all training units, and the application of standardized tests to all graduates, and ensuring the training quality in training facilities  .
    He explained that 50% of the graduates of the institution have been registered in the social insurance that means they have worked in the private sector, and 10% went for government jobs via the civil service, and 3% have completed their studies and 18.5% were employed in the military sector.
    He added that the number of job seekers among the graduates of the institution and submitted in Hafiz has declined, so the percentage of job seekers of the total graduates is 6.5 percent, a decrease of 20% from last year. Stressing that job seekers among the graduates of the institution represent 1% of the total job seekers in the Kingdom according to Hafiz data, as there has been an employment of 22,035 graduates via the professional guidance and occupational coordination center, and the rest got the jobs directly.
